A day in the life of a Max Factor Online Academy student
I always wanted to be a make-up artist so I making that dream come true
I just finished looking at my roster and was thrilled that I get to have 3 days off from flying. As a cabin crew—we have to live with the irregular hours. It’s part of the job. I get up to make myself some coffee, and a slice of banana bread. I am still in PJs but I smile like I am going out on a fun night with my friends. I open my Mac and I login on my account at www.maxfactoracademy.com

My life has taken on an amazing turn two weeks ago. I was out for lunch with a friend of mine and she showed me the make-up course videos she was watching on her phone. I asked, “Is that YouTube?” She said, “no—even better!”

She walked me though the professional make-up artist course she was taking through the e-learning platform of Max Factor! I have heard about such schools online but I have never seen anything like it.
We spent the next hour looking at what the academy has to offer. The video they show about what we will get out of the course made me realize I can pursue my life-long dream! To be a make-up artist!

Max Factor Online Academy made it possible for me to do that while keeping my job as a cabin crew. I get to study at my own pace. It gives me the flexibility to manage my job—and pursue my dreams!

Back home in Ukraine—I used to model. I started when I was 16, but what I loved about the modeling industry isn’t the catwalk. It’s the action that happens backstage when the models are getting their hair and make-up done.
The whole energy that you feel when you know that something beautiful is happening and real transformation is taking place.

I would come in just jeans, tank top and slides—my blonde hair in a bun, my skin devoid of make-up and an hour or so later, I am a red head with the most iridescent skin, red lips, smoky, dark eyes—and strutting on the catwalk like I belong in the old, Hollywood glamour. Some days—I look like I stepped out of space, right smack in the middle of an Interstellar movie set.

I wanted that for me. I wanted to hold the brushes, and line the vanity counter with an array of make-up to choose from. I wanted to have my model sit in front of me, ready and excited as I was when I used to model for her own transformation. For her to embrace her own beauty.

I always wanted to be a make-up artist, so I am making that dream come true. Right here, right now—in the comfort of my home, with my coffee next to me, in PJs and my hair in a bun.

So thank you Max Factor for making this possible for me.
